Today, the Dutch ministry of Defence singed an extensive deal today with BAE Systems Hägglunds (BSH). The Swedish company will provide the MidLife update packages for 122 CV9035NL armoured vehicles.

To ensure the CV90’s will maintain operational capability until the end of their service life, BSH will provide the vehicles with the necessary MidLife update. Part of the deal, worth just over €500 million, are extra protection measures against currently increasing threats, such as more advanced anti-tank missiles. Another important improvement is the new turret, which due to a relocation of the canon provides more room for the crew.

The Dutch ministry of Defence announced that there are over 20 Dutch companies in the supply chain to deliver the full CV90 upgrade,   mechanical and electric components to both BSH and subcontractors
